Delicious Stages
This is a totally delicious smoke, a top 3 for me this year. The CAO Italia Gondola is a full-flavored and complex cigar that starts out spicy, with notes of cayenne pepper. It mellows considerably in the second third with toasted bread and cocoa highlights arising. The last third is the best with rich Italian espresso and cream to make a perfect ending.
Expanding my CAO Roster
CAO Brazilia Samba cigars set a high standard for me when it comes to CAO. Eager for another tasty option, I tried the CAO Italia Gondola. I’ve had 3 and while not as good as the Samba to me yet, I’m getting familiar with them and enjoy each one more than the last. Tighter in the draw, but not a pain to smoke. The flavors are spicy, like nutmeg or ginger. Some pepper for effect. I’m happy! Rating: 8.1
