5 Vegas Classic Churchill Description
This 5 Vegas Classic Churchill cigar is made in Nicaragua. Outside, you'll find a Sumatra wrapper. Inside, the binder is Nicaraguan, and the filler is Nicaraguan. This is a Churchill cigar with a length of 7.00 and a ring gauge of 52.
The 5 Vegas Churchill is similar to other cigars produced by Don Pepin Garcia. This particular blend is medium-bodied with loads of flavor and well balanced. The beautiful thing about these sticks is that they can be smoked right away and you get all the potential of an aged one plus plenty of taste. The spiciness is absolutely perfect. After some aging, the spice mellows. But I happen to be a spice lover which makes me a huge fan of Garcia. It does lack the deep complexity of a 6 month aged Miami. But I always know that if Im in the mood for a spicy enchilada, I will never be disappointed with the Miami at any age. This cigar is a Nicaraguan puro featuring a “Cuban-seed” corojo wrapper. Both corojo and criollo are my faves. Cigar construction is a little shoddy in places. I dont think the #9 rollers are working on the Miamis. But Ive yet to have any problems with the stick. Its firm, no soft spots. It burns perfectly every time. Never had to touch one up. No canoes. Since Ive been smoking for several decades, I think very few cigars can make that claim. The Miami is packed very tightly with Cuban seed ligero. So while it is usually a medium body, the Churchill gets all the way to full bodied in the last third. The last third has a dark coffee with lots of pepper profile. This is a wonderful summer cigar when I can sit on my back porch with a libation and enjoy this 90 minute smoke. I generally wait until they are aged so the complexity is great and a treat. Because the pricing is so reasonable for such a premium blend, I can smoke one every night. But I always have all the other sizes sitting in my humidors aging. That way I can pick the size depending on the time I have to smoke. Im a really big fan of this beauty.
