I’m a huge fan of great maduros; I just think that they can be found for quite a bit less than this cigar. Have you tried an Oliva G maduro or a Rocky Patel Double maduro? I’m sure you have. These sticks are very comparable in terms of taste and quality. I like the Padron 1926 Anniversary No.44 Maduro, just not at $11!

This cigar is a top echelon stogie, no question about it. The Padron 1926 Anniversary No.44 Maduro is very good. However, in that rarefied air, I prefer the Opus X for flavor and the Diamond Crown Maximus for sheer elegance. I won’t turn this down, but for the money, I’m reaching elsewhere.

I’ve read about these cigars being over-hyped and overrated so I smoked a couple of them over the last few weeks. I mixed in an Ashton Aged Maduro, a CAO Gold maduro and a Diamond Crown maddy. I scored it the same as the Diamond Crown and it blew away the CAO Gold. Awesome cigar.
