Very Interesting

Review by Luis Santillana on November 23, 2011

Nice, veinless wrapper. I used a whole punch to get going. Beautiful brownish white smoke. Ashed it only twice. It starts out with toasted nuts and then picks up peppery flavors before mellowing into dark coffee with a hint of something like cinnamon, though not exactly. Reminds me of a Fuente Short Story Cameroon. It’s an intriguing 40 minute smoke.

World Class

Review by erod on August 26, 2011

I really enjoy the flavor blend in this little Nicaraguan puro, my favorite in the Padron 1926 lineup. I usually taste coffee, anise, dark cocoa, peanuts, slight pepper and salsa-type spices. They come and go, making for a world-class cigar.

Review by Roland on February 27, 2007

This one is tough to smoke just because of the beauity of it. The quality construction and care are evident in the near perfect burn. The stick starts out with some earthy, peppery tones, and eventually come arount to an almost spicy leather. The transition is wonderful and produces tons of billowy white smoke.

Padron 1926 no 35 Natural

Review by lancehoward on February 26, 2007

Cigar wrapper was peeling when I received cigar. Seemed a little dry and loose, burned hot. Not a great cigar for a Padron. Peppery flavor mellowed out into a woodesy flavor.

"There is a reason why its called the Padron"

Review by Nick Kane on February 26, 2007

As always, Padron never fails to live up to its amazing reputation. Better than most Cubans Ive had the liberty to smoke, this cigar offers amazing flavor, an even burn, and is lust the right strength. Excellent!

Such a palate teaser

Review by Ed on February 25, 2007

A blend this good should not be made in smaller sizes! A regular palate teaser. Highest quality construction, complex flavor set - a good cigar to follow a good meal with, but get a larger size.

26 natural is like the moive "The Natural"

Review by Gerry the GMAN on February 25, 2007

One of the best out there lives up to all the hype and the price. Better than a Cuban Romeo and Julieta. Strong and smooth - a must with an 18 year single malt. A notch below the maduro.

Padron Power

Review by chip on February 25, 2007

The 1926s are the fullest body Padrons. Like its cousins, this cigar gets more flavorful with every puff.Count on different complex tastes from beggining to end. Dont burn your fingers squeezing out the last taste.

Padron 1926 #35

Review by Tim Groza on February 25, 2007

Construction was flawless The color of the wrapper was caramel. Prelight draw was a little loose. It was spicy and medium in body to start, and turned toasty and leathery with alternating spice and nicaraguan earth. Burned perfectly. Undoubtedly an excellent cigar.

Padron Powerhouse

Review by Anthony Gutierrez on February 13, 2007

Great little box pressed smoke with a perfect draw. Strong leather, cocoa and coffee flavors mellow a bit about halfway in. Turns into a nutty, creamy masterpiece with hints of dark chocolate. Strong but not overpowering.

The Padron 1926 no. 35 - Natural is an amazing cigar. A beautifully constructed box pressed cigar that is packed flavor. It is a full body smoke thats ash could hold for 3/4 of the cigar if not more! A deep rich flavor throughtout the smoke. What a treat by Padron!

Padron does it again.

Review by Austin Keay on February 07, 2007

The Padron 1926 Anniversary No. 35 Natural is a great little cigar that looks tame enough, but definately has some power. The Padron 1926 always looks very impressive with a great wrapper and that great box pressed shape that still produces a perfect draw. It starts very spicey with a wonderful aroma of leather and slight chocolate and has a big finish that is slightly bitter, like black coffee. It mellows down just a little but still hits you with great full bodied smoke throughout. Highly recommended.

Padron 1926

Review by Billy Haboush on February 06, 2007

Wow. What a powerful cigar. Not for the beginner! This short, square pressed smoke had the best draw possible. The wrapper was more of a dark, chocolate, color then a natural shade. Prelight bouquet was a little cedar, and a lot of heavy tobacco. Once lit, I could taste a little vanilla maybe a little honey. Very bold, powerful tobaccos, but very smooth. About halfway down, I wasnt sure if Id be finishing it or not; It was that bold of a cigar. I ended up smoking it all the way down to the nub. Overall, a great little cigar with a powerful start and end; very smooth though!

I tasted some chocolate, ground coffee and some tingling pepper in this cigar. Nice flavor with lots of smoke. No question why 1926 is Padrons premier line of cigars

Padron 1926 no. 35 - Natural

Review by The_Stogemiester on February 05, 2007

Padron 1926 no. 35 - Natural - 4 x 48 The wrapper on this cigar looks very dry, the color and texture is very similar to a heavy paper bag you would carry your groceries home in. The cap was very poorly applied. I tried to punch it but the cap and wrapper started to come off, so I just clipped it. The flavors of this cigar are nice and well defined at first light, they consist of hardwood, earth, cocoa and a faint brassyniess on the finish. Decent at first but after 1/4 into the smoke it starts to become overwellmed by brass and a destinct metallic-ness, earth, wood and cocoa are hard to distinguish any more. At the halfway point I was stuggling not to put it down so I hung on till I was about 3/4 finished. The cigar ended rather boring with little complexity, the flavors were dominated by a strong metallic taste and a faint woodiness. Razor sharp burn all the way with no touch ups, this is about the only highlight of this cigar. The draw is very lush and free, it does however produce tons of smoke. The middle is very underfilled and I believe it had something to do with the ash splitting into two to three seperate pieces. It looks like someone stuck the end of a gun barrel in the mud and pulled the trigger, luckily this only lasted one inch. The aroma of this cigar is strong toasted tobacco and mesquite. The cigar starting burning warm in the begining and just got hotter as the smoke progressed. Saying I was totally disappointed is an under statement, there is just no excuses for a 4 x 48 so called premium cigar that costs anywhere from 10-15 dollars depending on site or B&M purchased to have the problems this one had. I guess I had a bad stick but for all the issues it had its unacceptable IMO for a so-called super premium.

1926

Review by Shawn Varner on February 03, 2007

A bit spicy to start off, but you know you are smoking. Very complex, peppery and woodsy but more of an oak essence than cedar, a little chocolate too. This smoke actually started off fuller than it finished. If you like spark plugs this is your smoke.

Perfect, smaller cigar

Review by Ken Alvey on February 02, 2007

I knew this was going to be a great smoke when the pre-light taste was so evident. Draw was good, a bit loose but not a problem at all. Burn was perfect. Ash held on for almost the entire length. Powerful smoke. Im glad I had a meal first. Flavor, burn, even aroma earns high marks. You wont regret this experience.

1926

Review by Richard Plasencia on January 31, 2007

The Padron 1926 natural is smooth, strong and full of flavor, i would probably recomend this more for a more seasoned, but still enojoyable for a rookie, i enojoyed the 1926 more than 1964, i found the flavors more developed and more enjoyable, draw was a little loose but even with that it was a long slow enjoyable burn, perfect way to releave a little stress at work, look forward trying the maduro version

Smoke this one sitting down

Review by David Schwartz on January 31, 2007

The Padron 1926 Anniversary #35 natural maybe short in size but it packs a punch like Muhammad Ali. This is a flavorful and strong cigar.I would recommend this cigar to the experienced cigar smoker. The wrapper is a very smooth chocolate brown. The 1926 Anniversary has an easy draw and delivers plenty of smoke. The cigar had a very spicey beginning which mellowed about the 1/4 mark. Here the flavor switched to a woodsy coffee flavor. The ash held tight almost to the very end of the cigar and the burn was very even. The Padron 1926 Anniversary #35 is a powerhouse of a good smoke.
