The Graycliff G2 was launched in 2005 and has become a favorite of aficionados everywhere. A little milder in flavor, a little lower in price, the G2 is a fine cigar for introducing the novice to the delights of Graycliff premium cigars. While the G2 is more affordable than some of its siblings, the famous Graycliff quality and flavor are still there. Avelino Lara and his rollers made sure the G2 lives up to the brand’s reputation.
The Graycliff G2 has an elegant Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper filled with a choice blend of Filipino, Costa Rican, and Nicaraguan tobaccos, all bound together with a quality Costa Rican binder that adds its own taste to the overall effect. Nicely balanced with a medium body, the Graycliff G2 delivers an enjoyably peppery and spicy flavor, tasty without being rude.
Aficionados of the Graycliff G2 appreciate it most after a hearty meal when it’s time to kick back and socialize with guests. A nice smooth ale would go well with this cigar, something with enough body to complement this relatively complex cigar without overwhelming the palate. You’ll want to rest this cigar between puffs in order to clear your palate. A definitely plus is the G2’s ability to stay lit without an undue amount of tending.
The G2 is also one of those Graycliff Cigars you’ll reach for when you’ve had a very stimulating but draining day. You need to relax but staring at the wall seems a waste of time. Sitting back with a G2 and putting your feet up is a better solution.
You can have this affordable luxury at a more reasonable price than the rest of the excellent Graycliff brand. The Robustos and Torpedos are about $5 or $6 per cigar, so you can smoke these often without emptying your wallet.
