Cohiba RED DOT Robusto Fino
Measuring a bit smaller and shorter than the usual robusto at 4.70 by 47, Cohiba’s Red Dot Robusto Fino can be thought of as the little brother to the line’s Robusto, and it has many of the same characteristics as its bigger kin—solid construction, an effortless draw and a slow, even burn. Like other cigars in the Cohiba Red Dot line, the Robusto Fino combines perfectly aged Dominican filler with a slightly zesty Cameroon wrapper and an Indonesian binder to deliver a medium- to full-bodied smoke that’s both flavorful and smooth. Think of it as mellow, not mild. Light one up and you’ll experience some spice and wood, tempered just a bit with cocoa and spice. Keep going and youll get more spiciness but nothing harsh--in fact, moving the band once or twice will probably be in order. Reviewers note the Robusto Fino as a good, all-around cigar; we think it’s well worth buying a box of 25 for enjoying now or for tucking away in a humidor. Aging isn’t necessary but Dominican filler only gets better with time. The only problem you might have is letting them rest; these Cohibas are tasty enough to land on the short list of everyday smokes.
