The Cohiba Black Supremo is a luxuriously attractive stick 6.00 inches long with a ring gauge of 54. It is offered in boxes of 25 cigars at a price that affordably delivers some of the finest smokes currently being made. The Cohiba name is synonymous with everything a premium stogie ought to be. First, it features world class tobaccos. Nothing but the best Nicaraguan, Dominican and Mexican leaves are used for the filler. The binder is special too, a Dominican leaf grown from Piloto seed. Finally, the dark Maduro wrapper completes a distinctively tailored cigar. The Cohiba Black Supremo demonstrates quality construction and a fine pre-light draw. When they greet the torch the aroma and smoke are very pleasing. The sticks burn well and don’t need much attention. These cigars have been aged extra long to balance and deepen the blend so that it is both powerful and full of richness. The connoisseur will find a smoke worthy of a quiet hour or so, reflecting on centuries of cigar-making prowess brought together in his hand. Enjoy a cigar that lives up to its reputation – and when it’s a Cohiba reputation that is truly remarkable.

I enjoy Cohiba Black Robusto cigars and picked up a couple of the Black Supremo sticks to broaden my horizons, lol! It did, actually, because these cigars are lighter, more of a medium flavored cigar and not the full flavor smokes I’m used to. The flavors were the same – roasted peanuts, leather, mocha and a hint of vanilla – but they were definitely tamer, similar to a Cusano 18 Paired Maduro. I’m trying to decide if that’s a good thing. I know my wife prefers these.

Hello Supremo

Review by Adrian P on October 04, 2011

This is a delicious cigar and one I’ll be going back to again soon. It started out bland in the first few draws but quickly perked up with flavor that was robust but oh so smooth. Plenty of aromatic smoke and chalk-white ash were nice accents to the taste. Slightly uneven on the burn in the second half. I can live with that. I’d rate the Cohiba Black Supremo higher but I want to smoke a few more first to gauge consistency.

Good Job Cohiba

Review by Ben C on September 20, 2011

I’ve had some issues with the burn of the Black line for a while and have shyed away from them in the past. It’s only fair that I give the Cohiba Black Supremo kudos for being a very different story. I’ve smoked 4 recently and they were all near-perfect in terms of construction. The wrapper stayed together and the burn was very sharp. My biggest concern has always been the draw and this one is right where it should be on the firm side of medium.

Passes Muster by a Mile

Review by Luis Santillana on August 29, 2011

The Cohiba Black Supremo is built to military-grade standards, which to say it is perfect. The stick feels solid in the hand and it performs to a high level once lit. The draw and burn are outstanding. If I could improve this cigar it would be to interject more variety into the taste profile, like what you find in another General offering, the Partagas Black Label Maduro. It’s not as complex as one would like but it is tasty and satisfying.

Best of the Black

Review by Ryan S on July 27, 2011

The Cohiba Black Supremo the best cigar in the label,at least I think so. It is put together nicely and has a ruggedly handsome look with its dark, toothy wrapper. Burn was a bit uneven and needed a touch up, but was good after that. The taste is spiced semi-sweet chocolate, woody notes, with a dash of saltiness. I’ll do it again.

No Tightness Here

Review by Shane Ziegler on July 14, 2011

I’ve read about tight draws on the Black label so I took pre-emptive measures and rolled the Cohiba Black Supremo gently around for 4-5 minutes. It smoked great with a very nice draw. The flavors are rich and zesty and I found the experience very energizing. A complete smoke that’s equal to the Perdomo Edicion De Silvio Maduro.

Wish I Had a Box

Review by Chris S. on June 30, 2011

This dark beauty was a treat. Looked so good I wanted to eat it. Dark cocoa and coffee poured out of this toro in torrents and I was transfixed for more than an hour. Very smooth, long and sweet finish. I had this baby in the humidor for a year – for what that’s worth. There’s a few more Cohiba Black Supremo stogies waiting – but they won’t wait long.

Bitter but Yummy Smoke

Review by Stephen W on June 08, 2011

This is a tasty, all-around fantastic smoke. The flavor exudes dark espresso, buttered toast and enough spice to wake up the taste buds. That’s probably a poor description – let’s just say it is incredible. Lots of billowy smoke too. The Cohiba Black Supremo got progressively intense and a bit bitter in the last couple inches, but was so good before that I can’t complain.

Excellent Cigar. I had my first one tonight and what a treat. Great construction, perfect draw with tons of smoke, beautiful aroma with a hint of spice. The cigar is sweet with a bit a nutty flavor. I recommend this cigar to anyone. Medium to full body.

For its super dark wrapper it makes you think it packs a hard punch, but in fact it is amazingly smooth for a Cohiba. It has plenty of creamy smoke and didnt require a single touch up from the torch. This is absolutely a treasure from the General cigar company and youll want to have a few on hand for those days you just want to kick up your feet and relax.
