CAO MX2

CAO CAO MX2 Those who are sure they don’t like any cigar with a Maduro wrapper should really try the CAO MX2. While it is a medium- to full-bodied cigar, the CAO magic touch has rendered a Maduro that is smooth, smooth, smooth. Some people say these should be reserved for very experienced connoisseurs; only they can appreciate their complexity. However, the CAO MX2 is such a rare treat, anyone lucky enough to acquire one or two of these cigars owes it to him- or herself to revel in a unique smoke. This magic lies in the two sumptuous wrapper leaves, black and oily, which deliver a sweet tang to the long-lasting flavor. The taste these leaves impart is deep and complex, hinting of bitter chocolate and coffee. This succulent wrapper enfolds the filler of a blend of Dominican, Honduran, Nicaraguan, and Peruvian tobaccos, essential to the incredibly complex flavor found in the CAO MX2. They lend a certain pleasant tartness, sweetness, and spice that meld wonderfully with the lip-smacking Maduro leaf. A limited production run makes the CAO MX2 a scarce commodity. If you are fortunate enough to find some of these beauties, buy a box or two if available. Stash the majority of these CAO cigars in your humidor, but you just have to smoke one on the spot. Take your time and immerse yourself in this experience because you might not see that many MX2’s in your lifetime. Even with its relative scarcity, each of the larger CAO MX2 configurations still sells for about $7 apiece. You simply must have a regular taste of this fine cigar, perhaps five five-count tins of the 4.00 X 38 Daggers will be enough to satisfy your yearning at an average cost of $2 per cigar. Given its rarity, enjoy an MX2 by itself and by yourself. Generosity is a noble virtue. So is enlightened self-interest. CAO

Top selling brands of CAO Include: CAO America CAO Gold CAO MX2 CAO Black CAO Italia CAO Vision CAO Brazilia CAO Lx2 CAO VR CAO has become a benchmark by which a lot of other cigar brands are compared. Founded in 1968, the company has a reputation for creating innovating cigars that surprise and delight the aficionado. In 1998, for example, CAO released the L’Anniversaire to mark its 30th year in business. The anniversary edition was made with a Cameroon wrapper enveloping the Ecuadorian filler. Those who have smoked one of these are certain its one of the finest-flavored cigars they ever found. CAO accomplished a coup of sorts in the 1990s at the peak of the cigar boom. Good Brazilian tobacco was scarce because of high demand and a disappointing crop. Five years of persistence and a bit of serendipity resulted in the acquisition of some premium Bahia leaves. The outstanding Brazilian wrapper encased the filler of premium Nicaraguan. The result was little short of spectacular. Perhaps the most striking in appearance is the CAO America, variously described as barber-pole or pin-striped. A lighter Connecticut wrapper shows itself in the gaps produced by wrapping yet another Connecticut Maduro leaf around it in a spiral. Beautiful to behold, it’s also a great-tasting cigar. Expect the unexpected from all premium CAO brands. Its line of Flavours bears some rather exotic names and labels: Bella Vanilla, Kama Sutra Splash, and Moontrance are just a few. Eschewing artificial ingredients, CAO incorporates natural flavors like vanilla beans, Irish coffee, and orange blossoms with Nicaraguan and Dominican tobacco. Something quite different from the usual, the Flavours line offers some surprisingly good cigars. Quality is the one thing a cigar smoker can expect from CAO. In 1996 they launched the CAO Gold, a mild smoke made with a Nicaraguan filler and binder and finished with an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper. The CAO Italia is of course quite a bit stronger with its dark Honduran Maduro wrapper and a blend of Italian, Peruvian, and Nicaraguan tobaccos in the filler. For a cigar that will make you truly glad to be sitting in a solid chair in a safe environment, you must have a CAO Mx2. Consider a cigar with a broadleaf Connecticut Maduro wrapper surrounding a binder of Brazilian Maduro. Think of what filler is composed of a blend of Peruvian, Dominican, Honduran and Nicaraguan tobaccos would be like. The Mx2 was designed to double the cigar taste. You be the judge. On those occasions when you really need something completely different in a cigar, CAO will have one to perk your interest.
