Top 10 of the Year

Fantastic cigar. Rated high in every category. The construction is flawless and the wrapper is simply superb. In the taste department, this medium to full-flavored stogie really shines. Big and bold flavors are never harsh or bitter, just full and compelling. Mixture of coffee and cream along with roasted nuts and moderate spice. The overall experience of the CAO Brazilia Samba was scintillating.

Meets High Standards

The Carlos Torano Exodus 1959 is a benchmark stogie for me – one of the best Ive smoked. The CAO Brazilia Samba tastes a great deal like the ’59 and offers the same awesome build and smokability. The full flavor is delicious and satisfying right down to the nub.

Stock the Boat with Sambas

The CAO Brazilia Samba is a great cigar. The construction feels perfect in the hand with nary a soft or uneven spot. The oily Maduro is lovely and smells wonderful, much like the Cuesta Rey Maduro No. 11. When I lit it the burn was crisp and the draw right on the money. For flavor, there is spiced rum early on, leveling out to nut bread and peanut butter with a hint of Tabasco. If I were stranded on a deserted island…

Good Samba""

The awesome Maduro wrapper of the CAO Brazilia Samba may not be quite as good as the legendary Olive Serie G Maduro, but it can be mentioned in the same sentence for sure. This cigar is full flavored and sports a full body too. I’ve had a couple and they both rocked me nicely. Stellar construction is firm and offers a draw that is just right . The white ash against the dark body is a sight to see. The only issue is finding them since right now they are hard to find anywhere.

Kick Back

The sweet, toothy wrapper of the CAO Brazilia Samba serves it well, producing a great balance to the spicier filler within. The new blend in the Brazilia line isn’t as bold as before, but I find it more complex and interesting, akin to another top smoke – the Don Pepin Garcia Series JJ Maduro. I like a little more zing in most of my smokes, but this is a good one for relaxing at the end of the day or week.
