I have all the AVOs in my humidor and that allows me to smoke the blend Im in the mood for. The draw is close to perfect. Construction is beautiful. The wrapper is a gorgeous tan like a fawn. Some veins but not much. The triple cap is a nice touch...no spitting of bits and pieces of tobacco. Upon light up, I get notes of molasses, butter, and ginger. A spicy note builds during the first third. Thats a nice touch. The 5-1/2 x 50 is a perfect size for me. I dont have to dedicate 2 hours for the smoke. All of the AVOs arent too complex but they are such a solid and consistent cigar, it doesnt matter. You can taste that the design of the blend was carefully developed and care was taken in the construction. At the halfway point, a trio of flavors come to the fray: coffee bean, nutmeg and roasted nuts. Its a nice transition. A little over $7 is a perfect price point for this quality. Of all the AVOs, this is the one I have Cigars Direct send to me each month. This cigar really blooms after a couple of months of humidor aging, yet right out of the cello, they are good to go. Very few cigars can claim that. While the price point is similar to other online stores, I get mine here because of customer service. I know every customer service person by name and we cant help but shmoozing a little during my order process. The other stores are all business and while not unfriendly, they are stiff. Cigars Direct gets it. Customer service is of the most importance. And if Cigars Direct is a couple bucks more, I still make my purchases here.
