A powerful mild bodied smoke

I love Ashtons. Ive been smoking them for almost 10 years. Ive gone through all the sizes and decided I prefer to stay with two only...the #2 7 x 46 or the belicoso 5.4 x 52. The prelight has a delightful noted a light sweetness and tobacco flavor. Upon light up, it spews out copious amounts of smoke. It was nutty with the tiniest bit of woodiness and spiciness. The unbelievable Connecticut wrapper is aged an extra year, extracting a smooth and creamy flavor. Mild cigars..actually hardly any cigars, start with any creaminess. But this stick spills the flavor into my mouth like Im drinking half and half for my morning coffee. I think I like this size so much is that Ashton gave so much thought to the blend. A churchill is usually 7 x 50 or 52. But this one is a 46 ring gauge. I just know it has something to do with the output of flavors. Something it would do less if it were a 50 ring gauge. Im just guessing here. The cigar is chewy and rich...very elegant. These flavors are beautifully complex. And Ive never had a bad burning stick. I have no idea how they get every single cigar to burn perfectly but they do. Its like Fuente got a bunch of physic professors in one room and didnt let them out until they found the perfect elements to make the perfect stick. The final third ends with a bang. The finish increases with a jalapeno peppery taste with some notes of oak...smoky oak. This is my weekend cigar for Saturday mornings. I have a nice breakfast and sit in the enclosed patio out back. We have a nice big backyard with lots of big trees and a gorgeous carp pond. I just sit and relax with a gourmet cup of coffee and stare out at my little bit of wilderness. Sometimes, I get up and watch the fish. Some of my carp are huge...like baby sharks. When they see me coming, they stick their snouts out of the water expecting food; which I naturally oblige them. The beautiful cappuccino colored wrapper has minimal veins. It almost appears almost seamless. And in the light of day, it shimmers with oils. Once in a while, I will smoke a different cigar, but I always come back to my Ashtons.
