Description

The 5 Vegas Series A Alpha is a cigar of 6 inches with a 52 ring, and you’ll get more power per inch in this series than you are likely to find in most other cigars in its price range. We offer the Series A in boxes of 20, and the entire label is long on taste and short on cost. It boasts a rich supply of varied Honduran tobaccos that come together to form multifaceted, full-bodied cigars that are stronger than most Cinco/5 Vegas lines. The robust Maduro wrapper only deepens the flavor-fest and when you try your first Series A you just might wonder what took you so long to find them. In taste tests the Series A cigars consistently rate higher than their price point would lead one to believe they were capable of. Yet blind tests prove it: these are a tremendous value, offering fine cigar complexity at the price most cigar lovers pay for their daily smokes. Comparisons to the Rocky Patel Olde World Maduro and even the Padron 1926 Anniversary Maduro are not unheard of among aficionados. Some call the Series A cigars the best value on the market and we won’t disagree.

My Go-To

Review by Denny Renmore on February 23, 2011

This is the stick I smoke everyday on the hour or so ride home from work. About 4PM, all I can think of is this stick. I throw a bottle of water in the freezer about 4:30 and go back to work. At 5, I grab the bottle and cut the stick on the way out to my car. Its lit before I even open my car door. I take a gentle puff and get nuts and coffee on the first draw of this stick. And a mild flavor profile with hints of cocoa. There is a hint of spice. I like a little spice but not too much. Its not a real complex cigar but perfect for a miserable ride home in traffic. Too much stress to truly enjoy a real complex cigar. I get a hint of dark, sweet dried fruit in the first third. I read that the name came from a story about 5 tobacco growers who came together to produce a single blend. Dont know if this is true. The cigar is never harsh or bitter. The flavor profile is more medium than full. Although, when I have the patience to let them age for 6 months, the profile is closer to full bodied.
