Great mild-med cigar

This is one of the best, if not the best mild cigars out there. I have one humidor dedicated to this brand. I particularly like the Classic because its simple and straight forward. Its not as complex as the ESG, etc, but youre also not paying the price point of those cigars. I start my day, everyday, with this stick. Consistency is the key. I know exactly what Im going to get and am never let down. I consider the best part is that these cigars dont necessarily need any aging in my humidor. I like the sweetness like the cinnamon and nutmeg..and some cocoa and mild coffee. The Connecticut wrapper is flawless and so is the construction. It has the hew of a fawn. This is the kind of cigar you just dont get tired of. The Fuente people really knew what they were doing on this blend.

Badda Bing Badda Boom! What a great smoke!

This is my first 5 Vegas Classic. I chose the panatela because the small diameter will give you a real does of the wrapper taste. From start to finish, this was a dynamite cigar. The construction was excellent. Few veins and firm in the hand. I read that the fillers are Nicaraguan and Dominican. Thats a fine combination. Like Laurel and Hardy or Abbott and Costello or Paris Hilton and her tiny dog. And what a beautiful wrapper: Sumatran. Sumatra wrappers are very delicate and I was afraid of it cracking but it never did. The pre-light was delightful. A combination of cocoa and espresso. I sniffed and sniffed because it smelled so good. Upon light up, there was an immediate taste of black pepper. I love spice in a cigar. And then right after that came the creaminess. The cigar pumped out billows and billows of smoke. As I continued, the spiciness ramped up but so did the creaminess which tempered the spice nicely. I could detect a vanilla flavor in the cream. And half way through, there was a bit of anise on the palate. The stick isnt real complex. The spice and creamy notes stayed throughout the cigar but thats OK with me. That combination had me smacking my lips after each draw. The price point on these is ridiculous. I would compare this stick to ones costing 3 times as much. All in all, I am dedicated to keeping 5 Vegas in my humidor at all times. Im sure aging will make these sticks taste like butter and enhance the complexity. Good on you, 5 Vegas!
