I got lucky...
This week’s cigar made its debut in 2013. It was highly anticipated for two reasons:
1) It was the first new brand released by the Arturo Fuente family in a long, long time.
2) The signature blend was crafted by the family patriarch Carlos Fuente, Sr. in honor of the unique blending traditions of his childhood.
I was lucky enough to be one of the ‘select retailers’ to get the smoke when it released, and I've loved it since the first time I smoked it!
This week I’d like to share it with you.
Juan’s Badass Cigar of the Week is the Arturo Fuente Casa Cuba Doble Cuatro!
This stick combines a rich brown Ecuadorian wrapper with a tasty Dominican binder and filler. It’s a true medium bodied smoke, and burns straight from start to finish.
At 4 1/2" x 54 ring gauge, the Doble Cuatro is the smallest of the four sizes available in the line. Perfect for a quick break, or just a quick smoke.
The flavor starts out with a blast of white pepper, and leads smoothly into a complex tang and cedar combo. During the second third, herbal notes blend with traditional tobacco, until the unique tangy spice takes center stage again for a very distinct and memorable finish.
