Celebration season’s coming up—graduations, weddings, Father’s Day, Mother’s Day, and summer holidays, all opportunities for enjoying a celebratory cigar. Special events often call for a special smoke as well. It could be something a little out of the ordinary, maybe a cigar you’ve always wanted to try and kept thinking “maybe someday. “ Well, maybe that someday is here!
Lots of cigars come to mind as possible candidates for celebration cigars, but we tend to veer over toward what we loosely describe as “good-lookin’” cigars, especially since there are often cameras present and wouldn’t you want to be caught holding something with some presence and style? Limited in production and availability, they’re expensive at over $30 a stick but very, very worth it.
Avo XO. If you’re looking for a cigar a little on the lighter side, both in taste and in the hit on your wallet, the Avo XO is a worthy candidate. It boasts a five-country blend inside of an elegant Connecticut shade wrapper. We’re also fond of the understated cigar band sporting the initials of Avo Uvezian, the famed jazz musician and composer who’s also the genius behind this line. The robust-sized
