I'm back...so we're going BIG!
I just got back from an awesome trip to Colombia today. I was a bit tired (and hungover) and "out of it." Until I walked into the store and saw what was waiting for me...
A shipment of the sticks that were recently crowned by Cigar Aficionado as the 2015 "Cigar of the Year." Yep, the same ones that had been back-ordered for quite some time now...due to the overwhelming demand!
That brightened up my day immediately :)
So I had to completely change my original COTW pick because...well I don't think I even need to explain why, right?
So it was a no-brainer to pick the My Father Le Bijou 1922 Torpedo as Juan's Badass Cigar of the Week!
Here's how Cigar Afficianado described this sublime smoke when they bestowed Cigar of the Year honors on it:
"It takes a profound understanding of cigar tobaccos to create a smoke that conveys uncanny impressions of dark chocolate-covered raisins, savory leather and a sweet-and-salty finish that resonates on the palate. This cigar has an ideal combination of power and finesse to make it No. 1."
Or as my partner Edwin succintly summed it up when I asked him how he would describe it someone who hasn't ever smoked one, "Ummm, it's simply the best."
Ready to try it out for yourself? Here's your chance:
As always with the Badass Cigar of the Week, I'd love for you to do one of two things:
1) Try it for yourself and let me know what you think.
2) If it's a cigar that you LOVE or HATE -- let me know on our Facebook page.
