Solid Maduro Cigar
I’ve had a few CAO Brazilia Lambada cigars and they all light well and burn with near perfection. The taste is quite complex, with roasted nuts, cedar sprinkles and sweet notes intermingling from beginning to end. At that point I thought of the Carlos Torano Noventa cigar. In the second half more peppery tones developed too.
Dances Well with Scotch
I love to find the right adult beverage to pair with my cigars and for me the Brazilia Lambada goes well with a quality single malt scotch. The cigar is savory and somewhat spicy, but not at all harsh on the tongue. The scotch magnifies the texture and depth of the cigar, bringing out flavors similar to the Ashton Aged Maduro. The Lambada is one of the better cigars in the CAO Brazilia line.
A Beautiful Dance of Flavors
The CAO Brazilia Lambada is a treat for all the sense. Its oily Maduro wrapper feels silky. The aroma of the cold cigar is fabulous, like fresh-baked date bread. Once you light it the cigar develops a deeper mix of dark chocolate and coffee that was very satisfying. I didn’t find it as spicy as others have – more like a Rocky Patel Double Maduro.
Very Maduro
The construction of the CAO Brazilia Lambada is good, if not perfect. Some wrapper flaws did not create burn issues. The draw is on the light side but not bad. Good flavor, as others have stated—notes of coffee and chocolate with a creamy finish. Not quite as good as the Hoyo de Monterrey Dark Sumatra, but a near miss.
