While more plentiful than the Pryme, the Tempus by Alec Bradley cigars still has more than a hint of premium quality about it. It all starts with the filler comprised of Cuban-seeded Nicaraguan and Honduran tobaccos. It finishes with Habano-seeded wrapper leaves grown on a small scale on the Nicaraguan-Honduras border, a tasty and dark leaf that delights the palate when lit.
Firmly constructed, the Tempus draws well and requires little fiddling. The emphasis is on an enjoyable smoke. The finish is long-lasting with pepper notes shading to a surprising sweetness. Some report hints of chocolate, coffee, and occasionally dried fruit as undertones. The Tempus has a finely tuned medium body to it as well.
